Launch it, Take to Flight, Just do It

The talk I gave for the student chapter of AIGA – San Diego at The Art Institute of California San Diego was very well received with an awesome turnout!

Sharing work and protecting your work is a topic on the minds of a lot of young creatives that want to make their presence known, but are afraid of losing their rights to their work. I covered topics like how to copyright your work, fair use, Creative Commons, licensing and more.

Hopefully I was able to convince them that the benefits of sharing your work, by far out weigh the risks. I recently read a book by Austin Kleon, and was able to share some of his insights and advice (which dovetailed paradoxically) with subject of protecting your work.
